But it's clear that the hand-to-face tradition remains a part of our routine. Rotary, however, has changed. The months that will lead up to summer 2021 it is unclear the way we'll provide support to the local community. This includes the valued human connection enjoyed by Rotary previous members. While the "hands in space" mantra is sure to be a part of the regular routine at our organization, there's no doubt that there is a feeling of trust is growing and more members have been able to make connections face-to-face. Rotary is changing too. Rotary is a community that helps build lasting relationships. We've improved our methods of holding meeting online for business' whilst reintroducing activities for service and social using a friendly face-toface approach. These new options are paired with our best pre-pandemic practices to provide a fresh and bright future for Rotary. Recently, a Rotary survey found that 75% were making plans for business as usual. Amanda Watkin - General Secretary's Column in Rotary Magazine In the last Rotary survey, I was encouraged to see that around 75% of clubs are making plans for the same 'business as usual' events and initiatives which have helped communities across the nations of Great Britain and Ireland. It is great to see that the Rotary support center team offers useful resources that aid in the maintenance and promotion of infrastructure and keeping people who are members secure. The need for insurance and compliance is equally important. We're so pleased with how creative our members have the potential to tackle some of society's toughest problems. Rotary as well as other organizations, has provided me with a solid network of people who are committed to my ideals and who have made genuine connections in the last 20 years.
